About Cute Four in a Row

Cute Four in a Row is a two-player strategy game played on a board that is 7 columns wide and 6 rows tall. One player drops 🐰 discs, the other 🐱.

How to play: Take turns choosing a column; your disc falls to the lowest empty slot. The first player to line up four of their own discs in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins. If the board fills with no four in a row, it is a draw. The winner of a round goes first next round.

A little strategy: Control the centre column — discs there take part in the most possible lines. Always watch for your opponent reaching three in a row and block them. The strongest tactic is the "double threat": set up two ways to win at once so your opponent can only block one.

Did you know? Four in a Row is a "solved" game: with perfect play the first player can always win by starting in the centre column. That makes the opening move surprisingly important — and makes the game a great way to practise thinking a few moves ahead.

It is easy to learn, quick to play, and a friendly battle for kids and adults alike. Play with a friend on one screen — phone, tablet or computer — free and with no download.
